FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS, INTIMIDATION

Cornwall, ON – Austin Wilson, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 19, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Intimidation - justice system participant

It is alleged on June 6, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man made threats to an individual at the courthouse. Police were called and an investigation ensued. On June 19, 2024, police located the man. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Travis Cook, 42, of Akwesasne, was arrested on June 19, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 16, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 19, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 25, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Ashton Markell, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 19, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Eight counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

It is alleged on June 19, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to remain in his residence at all times, to not possess any weapons and to not operate a motor vehicle. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a second release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times, to not possess any weapons, to not operate a motor vehicle and to reside at a specific address. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On June 19, 2024, police responded to a person welfare check and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation revealed he was allegedly in possession of a stolen motorcycle. It is also alleged the man was in possession of several edged weapons and he was not residing at the specific address outlined in his release orders. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Matthew Frattaroli, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 4, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 19, 2024, the man was located by police. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Celya Dacosta, 36, of Ottawa, was arrested on June 20, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 10, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. The woman was taken into custody by members of the Ottawa Police Service and, on June 20, 2024, she was turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the woman was held for a bail hearing.
