FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF FIREARM CONTRARY TO PROHIBITION ORDER, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – Randolph Kirton, 64, of Sydney, NS, was arrested on June 21, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with undertaking
- Two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Three counts of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to remain in Nova Scotia. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a weapons prohibition order. On June 17, 2024, police responded to a disturbance call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was in possession of several weapons for a dangerous purpose and was also in possession of an unauthorized weapon. On June 21, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop and the man was located. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Maryam Fisher-Nasr, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 21, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 4, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On June 21, 2024, the woman was located by police. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Trenton Falk, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 21, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000. On June 21, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on June 21, 2024, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – John Cook, 45, of Akwesasne, was arrested on June 22, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on June 22, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On June 22, 2024, police responded to a liquor licence act complaint. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Ashley Delorme, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 22, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 22, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Kenneth Poitras, 58, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 22, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on June 22, 2024, the man made threats to cause bodily harm to his neighbour. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on June 22, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 8, 2024.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – Garry Pyper, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 22, 2024, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking. It is alleged on June 20, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On June 22, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Renee Senecal, 48, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 23, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 23, 2024, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 30, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 23, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 21, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times, with specific exceptions. It is also alleged on this date, the youth left his residence without supervision. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 23, 2024, the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – David St. Denis, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 24, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 11, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 24, 2024, the man was located by police. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.
