FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 9, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court – as per undertaking. On March 9, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a disturb the peace call, and an investigation ensued. The woman was subsequently located by police. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on April 21, 2026.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Akwesasne was arrested on March 9, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 7, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On March 9, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters for an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on April 9, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 9, 2026, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Operation while prohibited

On March 9, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a local car dealership in relation to a reported theft of a motor vehicle. An investigation ensued, and police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Further investigation revealed he was also subject to a driving prohibition. It is further alleged the man stole a motor vehicle from the dealership. He was subsequently located by CPS officers, and the stolen vehicle was recovered. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man from Ottawa was arrested on March 9, 2026, and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2026, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a snow brush. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On March 9, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 21, 2026.
