FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Grignon-Paquette, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 14, 2024, and charged with 13 counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged, from Dec. 15, 2023, to March 8, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to CPS every Friday and sign in as required. He failed to do so. On March 14, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to deal with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Leblanc, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 14, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000 and assault. It is alleged on March 14, 2024, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted the Loss Prevention Officer from the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 18, 2024.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 14, 2024, and charged with domestic assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged on March 13, 2024, the man assaulted his spouse and prevented the woman from leaving their residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 14, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Van Loon, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 14, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on March 14, 2024, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 23, 2024.
