FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 16, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 24, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend or court – as per undertaking. On March 16, 2026, the man attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 16, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 6, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS on a weekly basis. It is further alleged he failed to report to the CPS on March 6, 2026, and as a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On March 16, 2026, police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 16, 2026, and charged with mischief – destroys or damages property. On March 16, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman destroyed her spouse’s property. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on April 14, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old man from Long Sault was arrested on March 16, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 23, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On March 16, 2026, the man attended police headquarters for an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 21, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from New Britain, CT, was arrested on March 16, 2026, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with release order. On March 16, 2026, CPS officers responded to a police information call, and an investigation ensue. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to stay out of the City of Cornwall, to not contact or communicate with three specific individuals and to not be within 150 metres of any place he knows the persons to live, work, go to school or frequent. It is further alleged on this date, the man was in contact with the individuals at their residence. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
