FAIL TO COMPLY, BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 20, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Breach of recognizance
- Harassing communications
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic
It is alleged on March 18-19, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order as well as a recognizance, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on March 18, 2025, the man harassed his ex-spouse with numerous phone calls. Furthermore, it is alleged on March 19, 2025, the man made death threats to the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On March 20, 2025, the man attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on March 20, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 6, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 20, 2025, the man was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, POSSESSION BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 20, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Fail to comply with appearance notice
It is alleged on March 5, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Vincent Massey Drive business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man was in possession of a lock-picking kit. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
It is alleged on March 11, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On March 20, 2025, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brookdale Avenue and the man was subsequently located. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.
FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, IMPAIRED, OVER 80, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 20, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to stop after accident
- Operation while impaired
- Over 80
- Operation while prohibited
On March 20, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Montreal Road and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was involved in a motor vehicle collision and fled the scene. He was later located by police and further investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. It is also alleged he was operating his motor vehicle with a suspended license. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 20, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on March 20, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.
