WARRANT, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Harris, 39, of Belleville, was arrested on March 21, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with assault. It is alleged on Dec. 14, 2022, the man assaulted an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. On March 21, 2024, the man was taken into custody and the warrant was executed. He was released to appear in court on May 2, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on March 21, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking and two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 21, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his mother and to not attend her address. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his mother and to not be within 100 metres of any place she’s known to live. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date the man attended his mother’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Jordan Smoke, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 21, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Feb. 6, 2024, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 21, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on May 2, 2024.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Krystal Davidson, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 21, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on March 20, 2024, the woman damaged property at a Marlborough Street business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 21, 2024, police responded to a disturbance call. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 2, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Marc Struthers, 51, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 21, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 11, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 21, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the RCMP and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
