UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 20, 2026, and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Feb. 26, 2026, the man uttered threats to cause death to personnel and to damage property belonging to a local organization. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On March 20, 2026, the man was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 20, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 18, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On March 20, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 20, 2026, on the strength of and outstanding warrant and also charged with fail to comply with appearance notice – fingerprinting. It is alleged on Dec. 2, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice – court. It is further alleged on March 5, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On March 20, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 5, 2026.

UTTERING THREATS, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 21, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and mischief – destroys or damages property. In the early morning hours of March 21, 2026, police were dispatched to a mischief complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman threatened to harm an individual known to her and damaged the individual’s property. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on April 23, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 21, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On March 21, 2026, a CPS officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on April 23, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on March 21, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with release order. On Jan. 1, 2026, police responded to a disturbance at a Montreal Road facility, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, as well as a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence between specific hours. It is further alleged on this date, the man failed to abide by his curfew. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 21, 2026, the man was taken into custody by Canada Border Services Agency officers and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 22, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between April 15, 2025, and May 13, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS every week. She failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to comply with release order. In the early morning hours of March 22, 2026, the woman was taken into custody by members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on March 22, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants and additionally charged with nine counts of fail to comply with probation order and three counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged:

On Jan. 7, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Fourteenth Street West convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest on the charges of three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

On Jan. 21, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Thirteenth Street West convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest.

On Jan. 24, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a McConnell Avenue convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest.

On Jan. 28, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Thirteenth Street West convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest on the charges of three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.  

On Feb. 6, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a McConnell Avenue business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest.

In the early morning hours of March 23, 2026, the man was located and taken into custody by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. The warrants were executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
