FAIL TO COMPLY, USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, SHOPLIFTING, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 24, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Six counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Five counts of use of credit card
- Three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
- Theft under $5,000
On March 6, 2026, a Cornwall Police Service officer was dispatched to a fraud complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on March 5, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the woman was in possession of a stolen credit card and utilized it to complete a fraudulent transaction. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 13, 2026, police were dispatched to a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on March 12, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the woman was in possession of a stolen credit card and utilized it to complete three fraudulent transactions. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 17, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged, the woman was in possession of a stolen credit card and utilized it to complete a fraudulent transaction. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 20, 2026, police were dispatched to a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on March 17, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she attended a Marlborough Street convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 22, 2026, police were dispatched to a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she stole property from an individual outside a convenience store. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 24, 2026, police were dispatched to a Marlborough Street convenience store for a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged that on multiple occasions on this date, she attended the business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. The woman was subsequently located by a CPS officer and taken into custody. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, DANGEROUS OPERATION
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 24, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Domestic assault
- Forcible confinement
- Dangerous operation
On March 24, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order as well as an undertaking, each with the relevant condition to not communicate with his girlfriend. It is further alleged the man was in contact with his girlfriend, assaulted the woman and confined her within his motor vehicle. He then operated the vehicle in a dangerous manner, preventing her from safely exiting. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Oshawa, ON, was arrested on March 24, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between Oct. 9, 2025, and Feb. 4, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer as directed. He failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order. On March 24, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on May 5, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 24, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with six counts of fail to comply with probation order and three counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on Jan. 14, 2026, Jan. 22, 2026, and Jan. 26, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a Ninth Street West business. It is further alleged on each of these dates, the woman attended a business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest.
It is further alleged on Feb. 24, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court – as per undertaking.
On March 24, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The woman was subsequently located by police. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 25, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Two counts of assault
- Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
In the early morning hours of March 25, 2026, police responded to a disturb the peace complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain on her property at all times. It is further alleged the woman assaulted an individual known to her and interfered with the safe operation of a motor vehicle. She was subsequently located by police. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
