DOMESTIC ASSAULT, THREATS, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 26, 2026, and charged with uttering threats, assault and mischief under $5,000.

It is alleged on March 23, 2026, the man sent text messages to his ex-girlfriend threatening to harm her. On March 24, 2026, he allegedly assaulted the victim. On March 25, 2026, he allegedly attended the victim’s residence and damaged her property.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 26, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 14, 2026.

IMPAIRED OPERATION

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 26, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.

It is alleged on this date police responded to a complaint involving a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle and an investigation ensued.

As a result, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 14, 2026.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested on March 26, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000.

It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2026, the woman attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 26, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 5, 2026.
