WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested March 27, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 8, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to sign in with CPS. On this date, he failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 27, 2025, the man was located by police in Quebec and CPS was contacted. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on March 27, 2025, and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on this date, the man damaged his girlfriend’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on April 15, 2025.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – On March 27, 2025, a 62-year-old man and 42-year-old woman in an domestic relationship were arrested as a result a dispute. It is alleged on March 27, 2025, police responded to a disturbance and immediately conducted an investigation upon arrival. It is alleged on this date, an argument ensued which escalated to the woman uttering threats to cause harm and assaulting the man. It is also alleged the man subsequently assaulted the woman, causing her to sustain injuries. As a result of the allegations, both parties were taken into custody and  charged as follows;

·         The 62-year-old man was charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm.
·         The 42-year-old woman was charged with uttering threats and assault.

Both parties were released to appear in court on April 29, 2025.
