FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 55-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Feb. 28, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Second Street East business. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man attended the Second Street East business he was prohibited from visiting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was later located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE
Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with robbery with violence. It is alleged on Feb. 12, 2025, the youth robbed and assaulted an individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 28, 2025, the youth was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer who was on general patrol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
PUBLIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with public mischief. On Feb. 28, 2025, police responded to a possible stabbing and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man fabricated the complaint. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on April 3, 2025.
FRAUD
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with fraud under $5,000. It is alleged on Feb. 10, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business and attempted to commit fraud. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 28, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 3, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Feb. 28, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not be within 250 metres of his father or where he is known to be and to not communicate with his father. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his father’s residence and communicated with him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on April 8, 2025.
IMPAIRED BY DRUG
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Chibougamau, QC, man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with impaired by drug. On Feb. 28, 2025, the man attended the Port of Entry and was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency. An investigation ensued and he was subsequently turned over to the CPS. The investigation revealed the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 25, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. It is alleged on Feb. 3, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence. It is also alleged on this date the man failed to do so. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man was in possession of property obtained by crime. On March 1, 2025, police responded to a disturbance and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 1, 2025, and charged with mischief – destroys or damages property. It is alleged on March 1, 2025, the woman damaged the property of an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on April 3, 2025.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 1, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Jan. 28, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on Jan. 31, 2025, the man was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. Another warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 1, 2025, police responded to an unwanted person complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrants were executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 1, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 22, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 1, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was dealing with a separate matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 2, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 25, 2024, the man stole items from a residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On March 2, 2025, the man was located by CPS officers who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on April 8, 2025.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Alexandria man was arrested on March 2, 2025, and charged with criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate. On March 2, 2025, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged from Feb. 23, 2025, to March 1, 2025, the man repeatedly messaged his ex-girlfriend. On March 2, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 18, 2025.
