FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Lancaster man was arrested on March 3, 2025, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order and four counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged he was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend on four separate occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 3, 2025, the man attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER, RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 3, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault peace officer
  • Resist peace officer

On March 3, 2025, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman stole her boyfriend’s phone. Furthermore, it is alleged, the woman made death threats to one police officer and threatened to harm another. Finally, it is alleged, the woman kicked a police officer and resisted arrest. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Renfrew, ON, man was arrested on March 3, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with release order and criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate. It is alleged from Oct. 20, 2024, to Jan. 6, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged between these dates, he repeatedly messages his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On March 3, 2025, the man was located by police at the courthouse. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Sainte-Sophie, QC, man was arrested on March 3, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault
  • Mischief under $5,000

On July 16, 2022, police attended a Second Street West establishment for a disturb the peace complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on July 16, 2022, the man threatened to kill an individual known to him. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man assaulted the individual’s girlfriend and damaged his motor vehicle. On March 3, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 3, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 3, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 2, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact his ex-girlfriend and to not use or possess any computer or device that has access to the internet or other digital network. It is also alleged on this date, the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend via a mobile application. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on March 3, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 27, 2025.   

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 4, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. On March 4, 2025, police responded to a disturb the peace call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. The investigation also revealed the youth was in possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The youth was held for a bail hearing.
