TWO INDIVIDUALS FACE NUMEROUS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES
Cornwall, ON – In November 2025, a Cornwall Police Service detective within the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit began a child pornography investigation, and on Jan. 28, 2026, search warrants were executed at two residents in the City of Cornwall.
As a result of the investigation, two individuals were taken into police custody on March 6, 2026.
A 34-year-old man from Lunenburg, ON, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Five counts of fail to comply with release order
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Makes, prints, publishes or possesses for the purpose of publication of any child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Two counts of distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Access any child sexual abuse and exploitation material
It is alleged from July 1, 2025, to Jan. 28, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not access social media. It is alleged the man breached his release order by accessing multiple social media platforms. It is further alleged he was in possession of, produced, distributed, and accessed child sexual abuse material. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Access any child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
It is alleged from July 1, 2025, to Jan. 28, 2026, the woman possessed, accessed and imported child sexual abuse material. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
On March 6, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Later on March 6, 2026, the woman was located by police at the courthouse. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 2, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting. On March 6, 2026, the man was located at the courthouse by a Special Constable. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 6, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. On March 6, 2026, police were dispatched to a family dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with her mother. It is further alleged she was in communication with her mother. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on April 21, 2026.
FRAUD
Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 6, 2026, and charged with two counts of fraud under $5,000. It is alleged on Aug. 30, 2025, the man defrauded a Ninth Street West business of money by returning merchandise with a fraudulent receipt. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On March 6, 2026, police responded to a Brookdale Avenue business, where a man was held in custody by a Loss Prevention Officer for fraud. It is alleged on this date, the man attempted to defraud the Brookdale Avenue business of money by returning merchandise with a fraudulent receipt. The man was turned over to a CPS officer. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Summerstown, ON, was arrested on March 6, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs) and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On March 6, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot of a Pitt Street establishment, and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation revealed he was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 31, 2026.
BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 7, 2026, and charged with break and enter – with intent to commit indictable offence and assault. In the early morning hours of March 7, 2026, CPS officers responded to a disturbance, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man unlawfully entered the residence of an individual known to him and assaulted an individual. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old woman from Akwesasne was arrested on March 7, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs) and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On March 7, 2026, police were dispatched to the area of Boundary Road for a possible impaired driver, and an investigation ensued. The woman was subsequently located by a CPS officer, who initiated a traffic stop. The investigation revealed she was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Kingston, ON, was arrested on March 7, 2026, and charged with assault a peace officer. On March 7, 2026, the man was taken into custody by members of the CPS in relation to outstanding charges with the Kingston Police. While in custody, it is alleged the man assaulted a CPS officer. He was charged accordingly and held for Kingston Police. The man is scheduled to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
FARE FRAUD
Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 7, 2026, and charged with fare fraud – fail to collect. On March 7, 2026, police were dispatched to the area of Vincent Massey Drive in regard to a taxi fraud, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man utilized a taxi service and failed to pay the fare. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 7, 2026.
THEFT, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 7, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Theft under $5,000
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
On March 7, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to the area of Montreal Road for a police information call. It is alleged the man stole an individual’s cell phone. He was located by police and further investigation revealed the man was in possession of brass knuckles. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 14, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Mississauga, ON, was arrested on March 8, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 18, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program by phone. He failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with release order. On March 8, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on April 21, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on March 8, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and assault with a weapon. On March 8, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she assaulted her ex-boyfriend with dangerous household objects. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on March 8, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Dec. 17, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with his girlfriend. He was also bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not associate or communicate in any way, either directly or indirectly, by any physical, electronic or other means with the woman. It is further alleged on this date, the man engaged in a video chat with his girlfriend on a social media application. As a result of an investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On March 8, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 31, 2026.
