TRANSPORTATION FRAUD

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Akwesasne was arrested on May 11, 2026, and charged with transportation fraud. On May 11, 2026, a Cornwall Police Service officer was dispatched to the Port of Entry in relation to a taxi fraud complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth utilized a taxi service and failed to pay the fare. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 64 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
