WARRANT, FAIL TO ATTEND, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:

  • Fail to attend for fingerprints
  • Fail to attend for court
  • Six counts of fail to comply with undertaking

It is alleged on Aug. 2, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend Cornwall Police Service headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is also alleged on Aug. 6, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest.

Furthermore, it is alleged from Oct. 22-30, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate with his spouse, to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify the CPS of any change of address within 24 hours of moving. It is also alleged from Oct. 22-30, 2024, the man was in contact with his spouse and failed to notify police of a change of address. Another warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

Finally, it is alleged on March 7, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate with his spouse, to not attend or be within 50 metres of her person, place of residence or employment or any place she may be and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On March 7, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was once again in contact with his spouse.

On May 13, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrants were executed, the man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 3, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Two counts of breach of recognizance
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on April 29, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in her residence between specific hours and to not contact or communicate with a specific individual. She was also bound by a recognizance with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate in any way with a specific individual. Furthermore, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Additionally, she was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate directly or indirectly with a specific individual.

On April 29, 2025, police responded to a disturbance and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was in communication with the individual she was prohibited from contacting and also breached her curfew. It is also alleged she assaulted another individual with a weapon.

On May 13, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 58-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on May 9, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was in communication with the individual she was prohibited from contacting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 13, 2025, the woman was located at the courthouse. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 17, 2025.

UTTERING THREATS, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 62-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic as well as domestic assault. It is alleged on May 13, 2025, the man made death threats to his spouse and assaulted the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic assault with a weapon

On May 13, 2025, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman damaged her boyfriend’s motor vehicle. It is also alleged she assaulted the man and hit him with her sandal. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was subsequently released to appear in court at a later date.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 13, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on April 1, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on March 31, 2025, April 7, 2025 and April 14, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS every week. He failed to do so and another warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 14, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of Seventh Street and York Street and an investigation ensued. The man was located, and the warrants were executed. He was held for a bail hearing.
