FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Ida Schell, 72, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 15, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with undertaking and one count of criminal harassment - beset and watch person known to complainant. It is alleged on May 15, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not go to the individual’s residence or any place she is known to be. It is also alleged on this date, the woman communicated and harassed the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Rowe, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 15, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 15, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 26, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 15, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 15, 2024, the youth attended a Water Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Garry Pyper, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 16, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on May 16, 2024, the man made threats to an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on June 27, 2024.
