WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 15, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 1, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 15, 2025, he attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on June 26, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Morrisburg was arrested on May 15, 2025, and charged with the fail to comply with probation order and possession of property obtained by crime. Additionally, a 33-year-old woman from Alexandria was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
On May 15, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a theft complaint regarding a stolen e-bike and an investigation ensued. Later in the day, the two individuals were located by police. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged both individuals were in possession of the stolen e-bike. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and each released to appear in court on June 17, 2025.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on May 16, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On May 16, 2025, the man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 12, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UNLAWFULLY IN DWELLING HOUSE, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – On May 16, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a break and enter in progress and an investigation ensued. Two individuals were subsequently apprehended by members of the service’s Cornwall Emergency Response Team.
A 22-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
It is alleged on this date the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she damaged windows and entered a residence unlawfully. The woman was located, taken into custody and released to appear in court on May 26, 2025.
Additionally, a 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
It is alleged on this date the woman was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she damaged windows and entered a residence unlawfully. The woman was located, taken into custody and released to appear in court on May 26, 2025.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 16, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 1, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 16, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on June 17, 2025.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 17, 2025, and charged with criminal harassment – beset and watch person known to complainant. It is alleged on May 17, 2025, while police were dealing with an intimate partner violence complaint, the man engaged in harassing behaviour toward his girlfriend by surveilling her as she attended the CPS to lodge her complaint. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on June 10, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from London, ON, was arrested on May 17, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
- Assault with intent to resist arrest
- Obstruct peace officer
It is alleged on May 17, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to live with his surety in the London, ON, area and to be amenable to the rules of the household. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Furthermore, it is alleged, he punched the store’s Loss Prevention Officer. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was later located by police, and it is alleged he gave the officer a false name. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAILURE TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, IMPAIRED, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – A 58-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 18, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Failure to stop after accident
- Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
On May 18, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Lennox Street and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was involved in a motor vehicle collision and failed to remain at the scene of the accident. He was later located by police and the investigation revealed the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 12, 2025.
KIDNAPPING, DOMESTIC ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 18, 2025, and charged with kidnapping and domestic assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged in the early morning hours of May 18, 2025, the woman, along with two other suspects, kidnapped her ex-boyfriend and assaulted the man, causing injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on May 18, 2025, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 18, 2025, and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged on May 18, 2025, the woman assaulted her son and his friend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held to await sobriety.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on May 19, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on May 19, 2025, the youth was bound by a release order as well as a probation order, each with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the youth attempted to contact his ex-girlfriend on social media. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Glen Robertson, ON, was arrested on May 19, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking.
It is alleged on Feb. 20, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-spouse. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-spouse. Furthermore, it is alleged on Feb. 20, 2025, the man contacted his ex-spouse via text. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
It is alleged on March 6, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not be within 100 metres of his ex-spouse. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend his ex-spouse’s address. Furthermore, it is alleged on March 6, 2025, the man attended his ex-spouse’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
On May 19, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
