FAIL TO COMPLY, TAKE MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT CONSENT, IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 20, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Take motor vehicle without consent
- Impaired operation and over 80
On March 26, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a motor vehicle theft and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he unlawfully took possession of a motor vehicle belonging to an individual known to him without consent and was subsequently involved in a motor vehicle collision. The man attended the hospital for medical treatment, and the investigation continued. The investigation later revealed he was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. On May 20, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 12, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 20, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on May 13, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place she is known to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on May 13, 2025, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and communicated with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Furthermore, it is alleged on May 17, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged on this date, the man was in communication with his ex-girlfriend. Police were notified. On May 20, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Ingleside was arrested on May 20, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 2, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 20, 2025, the man was taken into custody by a CPS Special Constable at the courthouse. The warrant was executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 20, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on May 19, 2025, the woman damaged her ex-boyfriend’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 20, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 10, 2025.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 21, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged from April 3, 2024, to Feb. 11, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer, to attend and actively participate in all assessment, counselling or rehabilitative programs as directed by the probation officer and to notify the court or probation officer in advance of any change of name or address. It is also alleged he breached the conditions of his probation order, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. In the early morning hours of May 21, 2025, the man was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. A foot pursuit ensued before the man was apprehended. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
