WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 21, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with seven counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of obstruct peace officer.

It is alleged from March 31, 2025, to April 14, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer to assist in his supervision, to report to a probation officer immediately and after that and to live at a place approved by the probation officer. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 18, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to a disturb the peace call in the area of Pitt Street and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not have contact with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place she would be. Furthermore, he was bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The investigation revealed that the two individuals were behind the business together smoking drugs.

On May 21, 2025, police responded to a disturb the peace call at a Brookdale Avenue bank and an investigation ensued. The man was located by a CPS officer, and it is alleged he gave the officer a false name. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 21, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order.

It is alleged on Dec. 18, 2024, and Dec. 24, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS. It is also alleged on Dec. 18, 2024, and Dec. 24, 2024, the man failed to report to police.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Jan. 9, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On May 21, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a suspicious person call in the area of First Street East, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by an officer. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 26, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 21, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Criminal harassment – threatening conduct

It is alleged on May 22, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate in any way with his mother. He was also bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged he was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence at all times except when in the presence of his surety and to not contact or communicate in any way with his mother.

On May 22, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man threatened to harm his girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged, he failed to remain in his residence and in the presence of his surety and was in communication with his mother.

The man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
