POSSESSION SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 25, 2026, and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine and assault with intent to resist arrest. On May 25, 2026, Cornwall Police Service officers were dispatched to a by-law complaint, and an investigation ensued. The individual was located by police and the investigation revealed he was in possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine. It is further alleged that while being taken into custody, the man assaulted police officers while attempting to resist arrest. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Morrisburg was arrested on May 25, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants.

It is alleged on Oct. 15, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS by telephone every week. It is further alleged he failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with release order.

It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2025, the man was scheduled attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared

On May 25, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 25, 2026, and charged with mischief – domestic. On May 25, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man damaged his girlfriend’s property. He was located by police and taken into custody. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 25, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice – fingerprinting. It is alleged on March 5, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On May 25, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on May 25, 2026, and charged with criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate. It is alleged on May 17, 2026, the woman harassed her neighbour by repeatedly communicating wit the individual and causing them to fear for their safety. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On May 25, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.
