ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 26, 2026, and charged with robbery – assault with intent as well as possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged on May 25, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, brandished an edged weapon and robbed the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a Cornwall Police Service officer developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On May 26, 2026, the man attended CPS headquarters to speak with police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 61-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 26, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with appearance notice – fingerprinting. It is alleged on May 8, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On May 26, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Morrisburg was arrested on May 26, 2026, and charged with operation while prohibited. On May 26, 2026, a CPS patrol officer conducted a traffic stop, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from driving Canada wide. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 2, 2026.
