ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on May 2, 2025, and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 2, 2025, the youth assaulted a staff member at school. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on May 2, 2025, the youth attended Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and subsequently released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 2, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on April 27, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate in any way with his mother and to not be within 100 metres of any place where she is known to live, work, or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his mother’s residence and communicated with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 2, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a suspicious person complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 2, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to comply with release order
- Mischief under $5,000
- Assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
It is alleged on Dec. 20, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons as defined by the Criminal Code. It is alleged on Dec. 20, 2024, the man damaged property of an individual known to him and assaulted the individual’s son. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man swung a glass bottle at the individual and threatened to harm him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On May 2, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrant was executed, and he was charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on May 3, 2025, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 29, 2025, the youth assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 3, 2025, the youth was located by a member of the CPS. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 3, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and domestic assault. On May 3, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a 911 hangup and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged he struck his ex-girlfriend in the face. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
