SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on May 4, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on March 4, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street retail store, selected merchandise, and left without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 4, 2026, the man was in police custody for an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 60 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
