WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Shane Gougeon, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged between March 10, 2023 and Sept. 5, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report to a probation officer, live at a place approved by the probation officer and notify the court or a probation officer in advance of any change of address. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 28, 2023, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2023.

DISTRIBUTE INTIMATE IMAGE, BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with publication of an intimate image and breach of recognizance. It is alleged on Nov. 23, 2023, the man was bound by a peace bond with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on Nov. 27, 2023, the man distributed an intimate image online of his ex-girlfriend without her consent. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 28, 2023, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 19, 2023. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Nov. 27, 2023, the youth assaulted another individual at school. On Nov. 28, 2023, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SPOUSAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with spousal assault. It is alleged on Nov. 27, 2023, the woman assaulted her common-law partner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 28, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2023. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Barbara Cleary, 74, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with assault with a weapon and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Nov. 28, 2023, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on Nov. 28, 2023, the woman assaulted another individual by throwing a beverage at them. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2023.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man, was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of fail to comply with a release order. It is alleged the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety and remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on Nov. 17, 2023, the man assaulted his girlfriend with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was not in his residence. On Nov. 28, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Natasha Lalonde, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 28, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 29, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on Oct. 23, 2023, she was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on Nov. 2, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 29, 2023, the woman was located and the warrants were executed. She was held for a bail hearing.
