FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Nov. 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged from May 26, 2024, to Nov. 1, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate with her ex-boyfriend and to not attend or be within 150 metres of her ex-boyfriend’s place of residence, employment or any place he may be. It is also alleged from May 26, 2024, to Nov. 1, 2024, the woman was in communication with her ex-boyfriend. On Nov. 1, 2024, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Terry MacDougall, 60, of Williamstown, was arrested on Nov. 1, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Nov. 1, 2024, police responded to an impaired driver complaint in the area of Second Street East and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police and the investigation revealed he was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 28, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Johnathan Bernard, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 2, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • ·Mischief under $5,000
  • ·Possession of property obtained by crime

It is alleged on Oct. 20, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man spray painted an electric bicycle and was in possession of the stolen electric bicycle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 2, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024.  

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 3, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2024, the youth assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Scott Robinson, 28, of Ingleside, was arrested on Nov. 3, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain on his property and to abide by all the rules of his GPS monitoring device. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Nov. 3, 2024, police responded to a breach of probation complaint and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man allegedly failed to remain on his property and failed to abide by all the rules of his GPS monitoring device. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FOOD FRAUD

Cornwall, ON – Vincent Norris-Pelletier, 20, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 3, 2024, and charged with food fraud. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2024, the man attended a Pitt Street establishment, ordered food and failed to pay for the meal. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2024.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

There were 148 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
