FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Oct. 15, 2026, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in her residence at all times and to reside with a surety at a specific address in the City of Cornwall. It is further alleged she failed to remain in her residence and reside with a surety. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On Nov. 3, 2026, the youth attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held in custody for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault. On Oct. 11, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an assault call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged he assaulted an individual known to him, causing injuries. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Nov. 3, 2026, the man was located and taken into police custody. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 15, 2026.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2026, and charged with the following:

• Domestic assault
• Domestic assault with a weapon
• Mischief – destroys or damages property

On Nov. 3, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Nov. 2, 2026, the woman assaulted her spouse, threw a household item at him and damaged his property. She was located and taken into police custody. The woman was charged accordingly and held in custody for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. On Nov. 3, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Nov. 1, 2026, the man assaulted his ex-spouse. He was subsequently located and taken into police custody. The man was charged accordingly and held in custody for a bail hearing.
