WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Mitchell, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 7, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

• Fail to attend
• Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
• Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Theft of motor vehicle

It is alleged on Oct. 15, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Oct. 19, 2024, the man was bound by two probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, the man stole a motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Finally, on Nov. 7, 2024, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle being tracked and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police and the investigation revealed he was once again allegedly in possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The warrant was executed, the man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, ON – Jean Pierre Masse, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 7, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and breach of recognizance. It is alleged on Oct. 17, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Finally, it is alleged on this date, the man failed to report to the bail supervision program. On Nov. 7, 2024, the man was located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 8, 2024, and charged with domestic assault with a weapon and domestic assault. It is alleged on Nov. 8, 2024, the man threw an object at his girlfriend and assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

There were 51 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
