SHOPLIFTING, WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Jason Larose, 46, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 08, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with;
- Theft under $5,000
- Break and enter
- Possession of a scheduled substance
It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on Sept. 16, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to notify police of any change of address. On this date, police attended the man’s residence in regards to the shoplifting occurrence and received information that he no longer resided there. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Oct. 08, 2024, police responded to a Rosemount Avenue business in regards to an active break and enter. It is alleged on this date, the man entered the property and broke into a trailer. The owner was notified by their alarm system and subsequently attended and locked the man in the trailer. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. While being taken into custody, it is also alleged police located a quantity of drugs on him. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
