WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Johnny Square, 30, of Hogansburg, NY, was arrested on Oct. 17, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 13, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 17, 2024, he was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024.

FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 17, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Forcible confinement
  • Domestic assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic

It is alleged on March 19, 2024, the man barricaded his girlfriend in a room, assaulted her and made threats to kill the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 18, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

There were 30 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
