POLICE INFORMATION CALL RESULTS IN SEVERAL WEAPONS CHARGES

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Fenn, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 22, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • 16 counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Two counts of possession of break-in instruments
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Two counts of theft of credit card
  • 10 counts of identity theft – obtain or possess another person’s identity information
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine

It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man was bound by several probation orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess weapons or ammunition. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a weapons prohibition order.

On Oct. 22, 2024, members of the CPS responded to a police information call and an investigation ensued. A search warrant was subsequently issued.

The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in possession of break-in instruments as well as property which was obtained by crime. Further investigation revealed the man was also in possession of weapons and ammunition.

It is also alleged the man was in possession of identification cards, credit cards and unused cheques, all belonging to other individuals. Finally, it is alleged, he was in possession of methamphetamine.

Later on Oct. 22, 2024, the man was located by members of the CPS. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, CARELESS STORAGE OF FIREARM, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Lakota Fenn-Raposo, 20, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 22, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not communicate with anyone that has a criminal record or is engaged in criminal activity. On Oct. 22, 2024, members of the CPS responded to a police information call and an investigation ensued. A search warrant was subsequently issued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in communication with an individual who was engaged in criminal activity. It is also alleged the man was in possession of weapons and ammunition as well as property obtained by crime. Later on Oct. 22, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 22, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
  • Domestic mischief

It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man assaulted his girlfriend, choked her and damaged the woman’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME OVER $5,000

Cornwall, ON – Madyson Dugas, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 22, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 8, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 7, 2024, police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was in allegedly in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. On Oct. 22, 2024, the woman was located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. She was taken into custody, the warrant was executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Shawn Nesbitt, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 22, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 8, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 22, 2024, the man was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

There were 62 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
