FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 7, 2026, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2026, and Sept. 17, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a specific Second Street East business. It is further alleged on these dates, she attended the specific Second Street East business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and exited the store on each occasion without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and investigations ensued – led by Community Safety Officers. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the woman’s arrest. On Oct. 7, 2026, she was located by a Cornwall Police Service detective. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 19, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 7, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 17, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend as per undertaking. On Oct. 7, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Nov. 19, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 7, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 15, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On Oct. 7, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS detective. The warrant was executed and she was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 7, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 17, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice – fingerprinting. On Oct. 7, 2026, the woman was located by police, who were investigating a separate incident. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Nov. 17, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 55-year-old man from Avonmore, ON, was arrested on Oct. 8, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking. It is further alleged on Oct. 2, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. In the early morning hours of Oct. 8, 2026, the man was taken into custody by a member of the Ontario Provincial Police and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrants were executed and he was released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2026.
