HARASSMENT, THEFT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on October 10th, 2023, and charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order, four counts of criminal harassment, and one count of theft under $5000. It is alleged that on October 8th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and it is alleged he removed property from a residence without his ex-girlfriend’s permission. Furthermore, it is it alleged that on October 9th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend or her mother. It is alleged that on this date, the man attended their residence on two separate occasions after being told not to, and caused his ex-girlfriend and her mother to fear for their safety. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man was arrested on October 10th, 2023, and charged with two counts of failing to comply with release order and one count of failing to comply with probation. It is alleged that on September 22nd, 2023, the man was bound by a probation with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate or attend the residence of his girlfriend. On this date, it is alleged that on this date, the man was at his girlfriend’s residence. On October 10th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim of his outstanding court matters.
