FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old man was arrested on October 13, 2023, and charged with four counts of failing to comply with release order. It is alleged that on October 13th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to stay out of the City of Cornwall except for court appearances, no contact his ex-common law partner, be within 100 meters of his ex-common law partner, and to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged that on this date, the man was at his ex-common law partner’s residence in the City of Cornwall, and was not scheduled for court. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody. While being takin into custody, police located a knife. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim of his outstanding court matters.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – James McColgan, 22, of Embrun, Ontario, was arrested on October 13th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 27th, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 13th, 2023, the man was in custody for an unrelated matter and the warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO RE-ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Jessica Prunner, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2023, and charged with failing to a re-attend for fingerprints. It is alleged that on August 25th, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted and failed to do so. On October 13th, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on December 5th, 2023.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Marcus Gray, 23, of Hogansburg, NY, was arrested on October 14th, 2023, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that on October 14th, 2023, the man was driving the wrong way on a one-way street which resulted in him being stopped by police. Investigation revealed the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court November 2nd, 2023.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Aaron Campeau, 40 , of no fixed address, was arrested on October 14th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on October 11th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 14th, 2023, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Laird, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 14th, 2023, and charged with theft under $5000, failing to comply with release order, five counts of failing to comply with probation and possession of a scheduled substance. It is alleged that on September 29th, 2023, the woman was bound by three probation orders and a release order. The first probation order had the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, the second and third had the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to not communicate with a specific individual. The release order had the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is alleged that on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street Business with the individual she was prohibited from contacting in the probation and release orders, selected merchandise, and then left the store without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was in possession of a scheduled substance. On October 14th, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Harry Philippou, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 14th, 2023, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on September 28th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence at all times and to abide by the rules of the GPS monitoring program, and a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that on this date, CPS received a notification that the man may have removed his GPS monitoring bracelet. An investigation ensued and it was revealed the man was not in his residence and the GPS bracelet was cut off. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged that on October 9th, 2023, the man stabbed another individual was a screwdriver causing minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 14th, 2023, police located the male and the warrants were executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man was arrested on October 14th, 2023, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on October 14th, 2023, the man assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Tasha Square, 37, of Akwesasne, was arrested on October 16th, 2023, and charged with failing to comply with release order. It is alleged that on October 16th, 2023, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in her residence. On this date, the woman attended the port of entry and was taken into custody by Border Services Agents for an unrelated matter and turned over to members of CPS. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
