IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 57-year-old man from Alexandria was arrested on Aug. 31, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

On Aug. 31, 2026, Cornwall Police Service officers were dispatched to the area of South Branch Road in relation to a possible impaired driver, and an investigation ensued.

A motor vehicle was located in the ditch, and the investigation revealed the man had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22, 2026.
