TWO ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUALS CHARGED IN HOME INVASION
Cornwall, ON – In the early morning hours of Sept. 10, 2024, a home invasion occurred in the City of Cornwall. The Cornwall Police Service was contacted and an investigation ensued.
Four suspects were identified in the incident.
On Sept. 11, 2024, two individuals were charged in relation to the home invasion, and on Sept. 12, 2024, the other two suspects were apprehended by members of the CPS.
As a result;
Anthony Levere, 38, of Chesterville, ON, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Disguise with intent
- Break and enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
- Robbery with theft
- Kidnapping - confine
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Operation while prohibited
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession break-in instruments
- Possession Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the man disguised himself by wearing a mask and broke into an individual’s residence. It is also alleged the man punched the individual in the head and robbed him. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man kidnapped and escorted the individual to his motor vehicle and threatened to kill him. Finally, it is alleged, the man stole the individual’s motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Sept. 12, 2024, the man was located by members of the CPS’ Criminal Investigation Division. It is alleged on this date, the man fled police and a pursuit ensued. The man was apprehended, taken into custody and further investigation revealed he was in possession of break-in instruments as well as a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
Harry Philippou, 47, of Cornwall, was later arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to comply with release order
- Break and enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
- Robbery with a weapon
- Assault with a weapon
- Kidnapping - confine
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess anything for the use to cause injury, threaten or intimidate any person. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess anything for the use to cause, threaten or intimidate any person.
It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the man broke into an individual’s residence, assaulted the him with a weapon and robbed the individual. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man kidnapped the individual and threatened to kill him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Sept. 12, 2024, the man was located by members of the CPS and a pursuit ensued. He was apprehended, taken into custody and charged accordingly.
The man was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Millington, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 5, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 12, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Jessica Prunner, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000.
It is alleged from July 3, 2024, to Sept. 10, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. She failed to do so and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and taken into custody; the warrant was executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.
WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on June 4, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on July 6, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to notify the CPS of any address changes. It is alleged, he failed to do so. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Sept. 12, 2024, the man was located by police who were on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Jessica Carriere, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 18, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 12, 2024, the woman was located by police who were on general patrol. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Ashley Point-Jacobs, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Sept. 12, 2024, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fourth Street East and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the woman was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.
