UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 14, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. It is alleged on Sept. 14, 2026, the man threatened to kill his spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was subsequently located by a member of the Cornwall Police Service. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 14, 2026, and charged with assault and mischief – destroys or damages property. On Sept. 2, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to a threats complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Aug. 15, 2026, the man assaulted an individual known to him and kicked his motor vehicle. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Sept. 14, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located and taken into police custody. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 27, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 14, 2026, and charged with the following:

• Fail to comply with probation order
• Fail to comply with undertaking
• Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

It is alleged on Sept. 11, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour as well as an undertaking with the relevant condition to notify the CPS of any change of address. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is further alleged he failed to notify the CPS of a change of address. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Sept. 14, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 27, 2026.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 66-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 14, 2026, and charged with domestic assault and assault. On Sept. 14, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a family dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his spouse and the woman’s daughter. He was located and taken into police custody. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
