FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Alfred, ON, man was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. On Sept. 17, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate in any way with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in communication with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 19, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Rahsontanohstha Delormier, 29, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 12, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 19, 2024, the man was located by police at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Robert Rummens, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 13, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 19, 2024, police located the man while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, and charged with assault causing bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2024, the man assaulted his girlfriend causing injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Nancy Hutt, 48, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault. It is alleged on Aug. 11, 2020, the woman was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 19, 2024, the woman was located by police. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Tina Point, 52, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on Aug. 7, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. An investigation ensued. On Sept. 19, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop and the woman was located. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Tina Benedict, 59, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 4, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 19, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop and the woman was located. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2024, the man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation also revealed there were outstanding warrants for his arrest. It is alleged:
- On Jan. 31, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
- On April 7, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to complete a program as directed, to live at an approved address and to notify of any change of name or address and to report as directed. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
- On Feb. 16, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of where she is known to be. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest.
On Sept. 19, 2024, the warrants were executed, the man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Tyler Pyper, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 20, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 7, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report to a probation order. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 20, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Nov. 28, 2024.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Two individuals were arrested on Sept. 20, 2024, in relation to recent shoplifting incidents at a Ninth Street West business. Makayla Hamilton, 22, and Tyler Ladouceur, 21, both of Cornwall, were each charged with four counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged:
- On July 23, 2024, the individuals attended the business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On July 27, 2024, the individuals attended the business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 22, 2024, the individuals attended the business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 23, 2024, the individuals attended the business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Sept. 20, 2024, the individuals were located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. They were each taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Sept. 20, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Sept. 20, 2024, the woman assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 15, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED
Cornwall, ON – Jean Mitchell, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 21, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of operation while prohibited. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, police conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2024, the man operated a motor vehicle while prohibited from being able to do so. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Michel Lecompte, 66, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 21, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, IMPAIRED OPERATION
Cornwall, ON – Saif Naveed, 20, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 21, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of operation while impaired. On Sept. 21, 2024, the man attended the Port of Entry and members of the Canada Border Services Agency conducted an impaired operation investigation. He was taken into custody and subsequently turned over to members of the CPS. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not buy, possess or consume alcohol or other intoxicating substances. It is also alleged he operated his motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. The man was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Sept. 22, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and mischief under $5,000. On Sept. 22, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. It is also alleged on this date, the youth damaged property in his residence and later breached his curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
