FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Thibault, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 6, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on Aug. 21, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Sept. 6, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.  

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Blake Atwell, 48, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 6, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Aug. 22, 2024, the man made death threats to an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 6, 2024, he was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 8, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Namasivayam Thuraisingam, 57, of Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, was arrested on Sept. 6, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 13, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 6, 2024, he was taken into custody by members of the RCMP, and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Oct. 8, 2024.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Leigh Beauvais, 31, of Kahnawake, QC, was arrested on Sept. 6, 2024, and charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand. On Sept. 6, 2024, the woman attended the Port of Entry and was investigated by members of the Canada Border Services Agency for operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. While police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, the woman allegedly refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. She was subsequently turned over to the CPS. The woman was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Candice Leaf, 25, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 7, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Sept. 7, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Second Street East and McConnell Avenue and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was allegedly operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

WARRANT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Charity Andrews, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 7, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of mischief. It is alleged on Sept. 5, 2023, the woman damaged the property of an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 7, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Oct. 8, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Tessier, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 7, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and assault. It is alleged on Sept. 6, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he assaulted an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 7, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 8, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 7, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Sept. 7, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 200 metres of any place he knows his ex-girlfriend to live, work or she is known to be. On this date, police responded to a breach complaint and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was in the presence of his ex-girlfriend. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Todd Harris, 58, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 8, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not attend a specific address and to not communicated with two specific individuals. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the residence he was prohibited from being at and communicated with the two specific individuals. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Sept. 8, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Sept. 3, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 8, 2024, the youth was later located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 8, 2024, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of assault.

It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in communication with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 8, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted another individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

The man was later located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the original matter.

CAUSING DISTURBANCE, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Christopher David, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested on Sept. 9, 2024, and charged with causing a disturbance and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Sept. 9, 2024, while police were investigating a separate matter, the man was observed to be allegedly causing a disturbance. He was taken into custody, at which point, he allegedly made death threats to two members of the CPS. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
