FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth of Cornwall was arrested on September 27th, 2023, and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. It is alleged that on September 27th, 2023, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence between a specific time, and to abide by the house rules. It is alleged that on the same date, the youth left his residence during the specific time he was prohibited from being away, and did not follow the rules of his household. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Braydon Barilko, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on September 27th, 2023, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with one count of failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. It is alleged that on May 19th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with his surety at a specific address and to remain in the residence. On this date, police attended his residence for an unrelated matter and it discovered that the man never lived at the address he was required to remain in with his surety. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged that on June 1st, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged that on September 27th, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence and reside with his surety. Also on this date, it is alleged that police responded to a disturbance and discovered the man outside of his residence and not with his surety. The warrants were executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
